East Wittering single-storey link extension and whole house renovation project is now well underway.

JB Architecture was tasked with a brief from our clients to create a link extension between the main habitable building and a garage structure.

The client's only criteria was that they wished for an extension that would stand out and complement the existing seafront location.

Our clients will benefit from the perfect internal/external entertaining space with curved bi-folding doors that almost fill the link single-story extension area. The curved bi-folding doors allow the courtyard-facing extension frontage to open up to a landscaped garden area.

With a zinc flat roof installation and no internal piers, it's sure to be a stunning area where our clients can relax and entertain family and friends.

Working with the structural engineer, JB Architecture has designed a lightweight structure hidden within the ceiling and wall constructions. This allows for no bulkheads or piers within the single-storey extension area, which maximises the amount of natural light entering through the large window openings.

A full property renovation and garage conversion are also being carried out, allowing for the creation of additional bedrooms, en-suites, home office areas, and entertainment spaces.

A complete roof replacement, insulation upgrade, and external window and door replacement are also being undertaken, allowing for this tired-looking building to be brought back to life.

With so much work being undertaken on site, we will update you on developments along the way.

East Wittering project is progressing well onsite.

The multiple dated single-storey attachments have been removed on this project to make way for this stunning and timeless two-storey extension that will blend seamlessly with the existing property through the continuation of the existing form and materials. The previously hidden entrance door will now be a standout feature amongst the single-storey front extension, which a beautiful oak porch will frame.

With its expansive, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, as well as large secluded snug and ground floor studies, this extension and renovation project will be truly transformative for our clients’ needs. This project offers fantastic views out onto the extensive landscaped garden area, which can be accessed via a large set of corner sliding doors from the open-plan living space, perfect for entertaining guests.

Working with the structural engineer, JB Architecture Design Ltd was able to design a lightweight structure that could be constructed off the existing building, thereby maximising habitable space within the loft area.

CHICHESTER SINGLE AND TWO-STOREY SIDE/REAR EXTENSIONS, AND WHOLE-HOUSE RENOVATION, COMPLETION PHOTOS

Chichester project now complete.

With its expansive, open-plan kitchen and dining area, as well as an inviting garden room, this extension has truly revolutionised the ground-floor space.

This project offers fantastic views out onto the landscaped garden area, which can be accessed via a large set of bi-folding doors located at the rear of the extended area.

The proposed pitched roof construction over the rear single-storey extension continues around the side and front single-storey structures, allowing for vaulted roof spaces and more efficient thermal constructions to be achieved.

With the removal of nearly every ground-floor internal wall structure towards the rear of the property, this project offers our clients a large, open-plan living area.

The proposed first-floor works have enabled the installation of a lightweight timber-clad construction partially over the ground-floor extension area, allowing for the formation of an additional bedroom.

This was a highly intricate project, where JB Architecture was tasked with designing out as many downstands as possible and all structural posts alongside a structural engineer. This meticulous planning has allowed for seamless ceilings and unobstructed views throughout the open-plan spaces.

Working with the structural engineer, JB Architecture Design Ltd was able to design a lightweight structure that could be constructed off the existing building and span the entire open-plan kitchen/garden room area.

With the installation of skylights over the kitchen and garden room area, as well as the glazed gable, this proposed space will bring in a significant amount of natural light to the newly formed area.

The existing garage area has also been converted into a home office space and utility areas, allowing for areas within the existing building floor plan to be freed up.

One of our largest renovation projects that JB Architecture Design Ltd has undertaken.

Works consisted of rear single-storey and side two-storey extensions along with a loft conversion and full renovation throughout the existing property.

With the removal of pretty much every ground and first-floor internal wall structure, this project is going to offer our clients a large open-plan living area.

EAST WITTERING, NEW BUILD, COMPLETION PHOTOS

East Wittering new build project is now complete.

With the demolition of an existing bungalow structure (including the relocation of old train carriages used for the existing house structure), the site has now been completely transformed.

With the inclusion of engineered joists ts at first-floor level we were able to hide many service runs and large sections steelwork throughout allowing for greater amounts of open-plan habitable space.

JB Architecture was appointed to complete the necessary detailing works for the building regulations application whilst also working alongside the client to clear planning conditions from the planning approval.

With an open plan kitchen dining area looking out onto a landscaped garden and the sea this project gives our clients the perfect area to entertain family and friends.
